Writing Seminars Announces Scholarships with PEN USA, Cave Canem
Bennington Writing Seminars is pleased to announce two one-time creative writing MFA scholarships, in partnership with the PEN Center USA Emerging Voices Fellowship, and , an organization committed to cultivating the artistic and professional growth of African American poets.
Effective during the September 2017 admissions period for, Bennington will grant the scholarship amount of $10,000 across four terms ($2,500 a term), to an Emerging Voices Fellow, and to a qualified poet. If a candidate is not selected for January, the scholarship will be available for an Emerging Voices Fellow for the March 1, 2018 admissions period, with a June 2018 start date. These scholarships are made possible thanks to the January 2017 graduating class.
