Course Description

Summary

Digital Morphology is a foundation course in Rhinoceros modeling software. Rhinoceros is an industry standard 3D modelling program used by architects, designers, and artists. This course will cover a range of digital techniques from basic 2D drawing to complex NURBS surface modelling. Across several small projects that focus on exotic form, generative diagramming, and rapid prototyping, students will develop foundational skills in 3D modeling and digital fabrication. The term will culminate in a final project that is developed through a series of 3D digital models and fabricated using laser cutting, CNC milling, and 3D printing technologies.
