Course Description

Summary

This intermediate video production course will explore the relationship between moving image and athletics. Students will examine the work of pivotal figures from Leni Riefenstahl to O.J. Simpson in an effort to understand the role sports play in society, art and life. Studio projects will focus on formal issues from camera movement, stabilization, resolution, depth of field and narrative. Permission of instructor required. Email kpandian@bennington.edu with a short statement of interest (1 paragraph) and a list of previous video courses taken.
