Course Description

Summary

This class will focus on the essentials of Adobe InDesign. Students will learn fundamental skills such as interface navigation, document setup, text and image manipulation, advanced features, and best practices for both print and digital publications. By combining the new skills learned in Adobe InDesign with their existing knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, students will create a variety of digital and printed materials, including posters, flyers, brochures, and books/magazines, using a large format printer.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify and apply basic design concepts for the purpose of visual communication.
  • Demonstrate working/learning knowledge of the software Adobe Indesign.
  • Conduct visual research and use vocabulary and terminology appropriate when discussing work.
