Course Description

Summary

Students will work towards completing one moving image piece or body of work of their own devising, while participating in weekly long form critiques of each others' work. Thus, the course has two primary intentions: to help students will complete their own productions for public viewing/distribution, while developing their critical capacities in weekly in-depth discussions.  Each students should already have a good idea of what they intend to work on during the term, and it would be ideal if it is already underway, especially under the guidance of Advanced Projects in Film and Video I (Fall, Ghani). The will be expected to provide details of this work when they contact the instructor for admittance to the course.  There may also be technical workshops, explorations of presentation/exhibition formats, as well as planning about work and further studies post-graduation - as needed.  The class will be concluded with at least one public screening event.

This course is primarily intended for seventh- and eighth-term students with a Plan concentration in Film/Video who have already taken Advanced Projects I in the prior fall, but exceptions may be made by permission of the instructor.
