Course Description

Summary

Learn how science is conducted and participate in biological research. Students will learn how to develop, conduct, and present biological research while exploring physiological systems that mediate behavioral responses in animals. During the first half of the semester, students will gain valuable research skills, such as hypothesis formation, experimental design, statistical data analysis, scientific writing, and critical review while exploring physiological phenomena, such as electrophysiology, stress-endocrinology, neuropharmacology, pheromone communication, and metabolism. During the latter half of the semester, students will develop, propose, conduct, analyze, and present independent research projects.
