Course System Home Terms Fall 2021 Introduction to Climate and Weather

Course Description

Summary

This course will offer a brief introduction to the physics of Earth鈥檚 atmosphere and how movement of heat and water through earth systems is related to the establishment of climate conditions on Earth鈥檚 surface and the weather patterns within those systems. Human societies interact with these systems in many ways, which in-turn impact and change the systems. We will study how a changing climate could cause both subtle and dramatic shifts in weather patterns, which in turn impact human societies.
