Course System Home Terms Spring 2017 Unlocking Italian Culture II

Course Description

Summary

Entering the worlds of Italy is an integral part of learning the language. We will continue exploring Italian culture through the lens of journalism: you will be journalists exploring Italy and reporting about it. In this, you will be supported by specific web tools, role-play, videos, and online newspaper and magazines. The class will create its own magazine. Meanwhile, you will advance in the study of the language. You will engage in discourse that moves beyond the sentence level and steps into the linguistic production of abstract thought, with an emphasis on oral communication and paragraph-level writing. Corequisite: Students must attend at least two Language Series events (Mondays, 7:00pm – 8:00pm)
